Someone Great PR is a UK-based music publicity company delivering tailored press and radio campaigns across national, online and regional media and social media.
We’re a small network of experienced publicists and social media strategists, with strong, long-standing relationships across the music industry. We work closely with artists, labels and managers to build thoughtful, well-placed campaigns.
More importantly, we only work with artists we genuinely believe in and we work hard to get them heard.
Someone Great was founded by Katie Malcolmson, a seasoned music publicist and former writer turned social media strategist. Her career spans in-house roles including One Little Independent Records, 9PR, [PIAS] UK, The Cult PR and The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), alongside editorial work for London In Stereo and GoldFlakePaint.
Alongside publicity, she has led social media and communications strategy for festivals and cultural institutions including Secret Garden Party, End of the Road Festival, ArcTanGent, Red Rooster, Festival Congress (AIF), and Music Venue Trust’s Revive Live Tour, as well as artists such as Everything But The Girl, Buena Vista Social Club, The Kooks, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, The Dave Clark Five, Ali Farka Touré, Nadia Reid and Reverend and the Makers, to name a few.
Head of Press & Radio Ellie Ball began her career photographing live music before moving into in-house press and radio at Tin Angel Records. Here, she led campaigns across the label’s roster including Nicholas Krgovich, Crack Cloud, N0V3L and Trembling Bells.
